Genome of cable bacteria revealed
A new study is published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy, which reveals the genome of the cable bacteria. The study provides insight into the unique electrogenic metabolism of the cable bacteria as well as the evolutionary origin of these intriguing micro-organisms. For this study, we collaborated with researchers from the Center of Electromicrobiology at Aarhus University.
