Training course in microscopic image analysis

State-of-the-art microscopy is crucial to the ERC project. Once microscopic images are acquired, one needs to extract as much information as possible. To further improve our imaging capabilities, a two day training course was organized by team member Eva-Maria Zetsche on 6 and 7 November 2013 at NIOZ Yerseke. The training in microscopic image analysis using Fiji and ImageJ was given by Dr. Jan Brocher from Biovoxxel, a specialist in the field of microscopic image analysis. The training was highly productive and resulted in high quality images such as the accompanying image, which shows a bright field image of an ElectroFilament (Courtesy: Eva-Maria Zetsche).
